Big July 2 in Choteau

As most of our blog fans already know, July 4th and the days leading up to it, are not only big, but really big in Choteau.  And every July 4th is different.  This one started with our good friend Dave the Fish Man stocking 300 or so Rainbow Trout in Spring Creek at Choteau Park so the kids would have some fun.  That happened yesterday.

Today, the Choteau High School girl's volleyball team held a car wash fund raiser at the Visitor's Center.  And like many things in Montana, what they do is big in many ways.

Also today, the Choteau Summer Festival was held in the park.  That meant lots of artists, crafters, etc., a community band concert, duck races,

and of all things a Yoga flash mob broke out (that's Beth back left).  It was great!

The day was capped off at our friend Mike's place where a good old fashioned pig roast was held. It included a big keg of beer and homemade ice cream.  Mmmmm....mmmmmm......good.  And we got to meet a lot of his wonderful family and many new people of Choteau (since he invited most of the town).

That's a quick synopsis of one day leading up to July 4.  It's well past my bedtime, but more will be added later.
